$16.5 Million Ocean Front Home Needs New Owner

This is my last Florida house post I promise. But I have always loved this house. When I found out it was for sale I had to cruise out in the ocean and snap a picture of it. Painful, I know. This home has about 16,000 sf for your feet to walk through and 180 feet of unobstructed ocean front views. This is about as good as it gets.

And if this doesn't float your boat the pink house next door is for sale at a much lower price of $14,990,000. What a bargain!

Price Revealed

A few days ago I asked you to guess how much these sellers wanted for their home. Well they want a cool $2.5 million. Doh!

It's on about a 3rd of an acre with 120 feet of water (bay) frontage. The house is in "good condition" but would be a tear down in this neck of the woods. Any takers?

Yeah, it was a little chilly on the day we went out. You can feel it in this photo. This home isn't for sale but I have an idea about what range it would be in if it was. I'll be posting about a home I LOVE that has been on the market for over a year and is new construction. This home would be pretty close to that. It's pretty spectacular up close.

There are 2 adjacent lots for sale across the bay from this one and I know what they're asking. So I'm sure this one will be pretty darn close to what those lots are asking. Here's a hint. It's over $500,000.

So I'm still in Naples, FL on vacation and a friend and I took out the wave runner to cruise up and down the bays looking at all the expensive real estate this fine city has to offer. And regardless of what you might be hearing about the woes of real estate in Florida, I am here to tell you there are some eye popping price tags and there are buyers out there actually paying them. I took a couple of pictures from my Blackberry of some homes I came across so the quality isn't that good but you get the idea. This one isn't on the market and my hunch is that the builder ran out of money. This home is obviously falling into complete disrepair. Can you imagine what the neighbors think?
